Sunday Worship Preview - April 22

Sunday, April 22 - (9:00 & 10:30 Services) & Wednesday, April 25  (6:30 P.M. Casual Service @ Crossroads, 2095 Fair Avenue)

Sermon - "Echoes of Time, Toil, Fellowship, & Grace"

Features - 3rd Sunday of Easter & Bell Dedication

Scripture - Isaiah 52:7-10 & Matthew 28:16-20

Theme - We begin our church's bicentennial celebration with the dedication of our newly refurbished church bell (see picture above) which will be placed just outside our Wheeling Street entrance.  The same size as the Liberty Bell, it was cast at the Menealy Bell Foundry in Troy, New York in 1849 and was first rung at our former church location on South High Street.  It was brought to our present building in 1907.  In January, 2010, the bell was lowered from our church tower and taken away to be beautifully refurbished.  During worship, we will ring the bell eight t imes for each twenty-five year period of our long and rich history.
