Good News, Lancaster First United Methodist Church!

Dear Friends,

Do you like to hear good news? I know I do! Our church has recently shared some good news regarding the generous financial giving of our congregation.

The first piece of good news is that our church was able to send a check of $8,889.48 on December 31st to Imagine No Malaria, our West Ohio Conference missions initiative. This will buy 1,777 nets to protect children from mosquito bites while they sleep at night. We are a church that is helping to save lives in the name of Christ!

The good news continues! On Sunday, January 19th during our morning worship services, Scott Reed, our Finance Chairperson announced to the congregation that our Crossroads facility loan which began at 4.2 million when it was built in 2006, is now well under the one million dollar mark! It now stands at $965,729. We are nearing the end of the third year of a five-year campaign with the goal of paying off the loan by May, 2016.

Hearing good news like this motivates me to be even more generous in sharing my prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness through our church. What an exciting time to be part of First United Methodist Church!

Gratefully Yours,

Pastor Robert
