Beulah UMC & Oak Grove UMC
Loving God, thank you for our church family and for this time every Sunday morning to worship and praise you. We are your church together!
And as your church, we lift up our joys and concerns to you this day. Thank you for all of our blessings and for your presence in each of our lives.
We especially pray this morning for the people on our church’s prayer list as well as other needs that are on our hearts and minds this day. We pray that your healing presence would be with those who are facing health challenges. We pray that your guiding presence would be with those are facing difficult decisions. We pray that your comforting presence would be with those are are grieving. We pray that your empowering presence would be with those are feeling weak.
We also pray for the needs of our community, nation, and world. Where there is war and conflict, may there be peace. Where there is suffering and pain, may there be love. Where there is division and discord, may there be unity. We lift up all of these prayer concerns to you this day.
And on this Sunday as we reflect on and renew our membership vows, help each one of us to be faithful in the offering of our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness. Lead us to always offer these gifts with grateful hearts because you have given us the greatest gift possible, the gift of your Son, Jesus who taught us to pray this prayer together…
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
