Sermon - "A River & a Beach"
Features - Baptism of the Lord Sunday
Scripture - Acts 8:14-17 & Luke 3:15-17, 21-22
Theme - Many people gathered at the Jordan River to be baptized by John. The river was a place where people were able to bring their deepest longings and offer them to God. On this Baptism of the Lord Sunday, we too, bring our expectations and longings to God so that we can receive healing and wholeness.

Interesting that I had a very near-drowning experience in 1995, yet, through baptism and renewal, am reminded of life when brought to the water.Water, like baptism, is the source of life, earthly and eternal.
