[A picture of some of our children receiving bibles during our 10:30 am worship service. Our scripture focus was on how the Word of God is unchained. May our children always know that God's Word will always be with them freeing them to be the people God has called them to be.]
When the storms of life of
raging, remind us that you are always with us, O God. Thank you for your
promise that your Word can never be chained and that there is no situation that
can ever keep you from bringing new life out of what seems to be a hopeless
situation.
Hear the prayers of your
people this morning; prayers for the communities who have been impacted by
Hurricane Matthew, prayers for our country as we vote on our next president,
prayers for our world and especially Vietnam where your church is growing,
prayers for the Kairos Christian prison ministry happening this weekend at the
Hocking Correctional Facility just up the road; prayers for your healing to
surround all who are facing medical, relational, financial or spiritual
struggles. O God, hear the prayers of your people in these moments.
Thank you for the many ways
where you have freed us to be the people you have called us to be. Thank you
for your amazing grace that sets us free from the chains of sin and despair.
Lord, if there is anyone here
today, who is in special need of your freeing love, may they be open to your
amazing grace which is always being exended to us because your Word can never
be chained.
With thanksgiving, we offer
this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ who taught us to pray together…
“Our Father, who art in
heaven...
