A Sharing Hope (Anti-Poverty) Success Story - Thank You First UMC!

Our church has been hosting Sharing Hope which is an initiative to help eliminate local poverty. Several members of our congregation are helping with this program which began last Spring and meets at our spacious Crossroads facility.

Sharing Hope is designed to bring people together from various economic levels to help one another overcome obstacles related to living in poverty. They meet three times each month which includes a meal to promote fellowship, a large group time of sharing, and smaller groups where thoughts, ideas, and information are shared about overcoming poverty.

The link below is about a young woman, Liberty who was part of last year's Sharing Hope program and how she is overcoming poverty. I am so honored that our church is hosting a program such as this at our Crossroads facility. Thank you for making programs like this possible!
