Scripture - I Peter 3:13-18 & Luke 24:44-53
Theme - Memorial Day Weekend is a time of preparing for transitions. Graduates are thinking about their future, summer is just around the corner, and in our scripture reading from the Gospel of Luke, the disciples experience a transition when Jesus leaves them and ascends to heaven. Ascension Sunday reminds us that even though we may be facing transition in our lives, God offers us the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us along the way.
