This is our prayer today, O God. Breathe on us and fill us with life anew that we may love what thou doest love and do what thou wouldst do.
Breathe on us with life anew that we may use the gifts you have given us to be a blessing to others. Breathe on us with life anew that we may see and appreciate the gifts you have given
Breathe on us with life anew that we may continue to allow the good news of Christmas to shine through us.
Breathe on those who are on our church’s prayer list as well as the many people who are on our hearts and minds this day with your life anew that they may know of your comforting, healing, guiding, and gracious presence.
Breathe on our country and for our newly elected political leaders with life anew that they would seek the common good for all. Breathe on our world leaders especially today as the Gaza ceasefire begins to allow hostages to be released and relief supplies to be delivered to the people of Gaza. And on this Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, breathe on our world with a renewed dream to work for peace, justice, and equality for everyone.
Breathe on your church with life anew that we would each open the spiritual gifts you have given to each one of us to help build up the Body of Christ.
Breathe on each one of us with life anew so that we would be open to your guidance, wisdom, and strength in whatever challenges and opportunities we may be facing.
Breathe on us with life anew here in church this morning, as we pray the prayer that Jesus taught us to say together…
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
